STRESS…Life is to short to be stressed out all the time. Stress causes a lot of bad things to happen in the body. In my younger day I did not handle stress very well. I have always been wired a little on the tighter side. As I have aged, as I have grown in my more sober days, and as I have just gained a little wisdom…I really do manage stress better. Every now and then when something really uncomfortable happens and stresses me out I see and feel the difference in my body.

Scientists may have a better understanding of why ongoing stress raises an individual’s risk of having a heart attack. They believe stress triggers the body to make extra disease-fighting white blood cells, and this can cause inflammation in the arteries of people with a condition called atherosclerosis, where the artery walls are thickened by a buildup of plaque. Other studies suggest that stress causes blood to clot differently. Both factors can lead to reduced blood flow to the heart.

To manage stress I pretty much just manage my days by doing what I’m supposed to do. I watch my diet, get my exercise, do my Foundation. Training, do my job at the office, share my healthy lifestyle ways with anyone I can, and laugh with my friends. Enjoy life, enjoy the people in your life. Get out side and move, breathe deeply. Be grateful for where we are and what we have…life really is to short and we really have nothing to be stressed about.

Mon 8/12/13: IT’S MONDAY AGAIN! Busy,busy day in store for me. Even tho I know how busy today is gonna be….I’ll stick to my routine. I’ll get to work a little early also to get some stuff completed early. Being “PREPARED” can save a lot of stress. Stress is the most tiring emotion there is. I really try to avoid it at all cost. If you have a good daily routine in place you can just adjust to the routine…makes it easier. If you are one of those who wakes up and just wings it thru the day…things can get out of hand! Certain tasks may not get done. Workouts may be missed. Bad eating habits may glare their ugly heads.
Part of being healthy and fit is also being able to be manage your life without to much chaotic stress. It is going to happen at times….but less is better.
If you fall into this unmanageable category…get a piece of paper out and map out a plan to get you more prepared for each day. Having a routine,exercise, and good healthy eating makes life so much more manageable and enjoyable.

Yea, a long weekend. I really need one…have a lot going on. It has been a very long time since I have felt somewhat not in control of what’s going on in my life. I have 3 very big life changing things going on…that is 2 many at one time. Due to certain circumstances (timing in life) all the wheels have been set in motion. Job changes, trying to get my house on market, and the big certification in Aug….I certainly feel the stress!
STRESS is such an exhausting emotion. I see now why people who have a lot of stress all the time have all those symptoms like crankiness, looking and feeling tired, no energy, over eating, drinking, and I’m sure many more. The good news is I’m fully aware of how I’m feeling. Just have to try to go slower, breath, and practice relaxing. Everything will work out…it’s just a process getting to some of the end results. Wish me luck.
P.S. I’ll need my workouts more than ever to stay SANE!
