PROPER MOVEMENT: THE FITNESS TREND DISCUSSED AMONG FEW.
I agree completely with Devon. As a whole, “we the people” sit to much, eat to much, and really just do not try to do better. Most people just settle!
I, like Devon teach Foundation Training. I have been in the fitness industry many years, and was always big on form when I worked with clients. WOW, did Foundation Training ever open my eyes. Now I know….it’s all about the posture!
The beauty of Foundation Training is, posture and movement patterns can be changed. We can teach the body to move differently….the body wants to move more efficiently and without excess stress that will lead to pain and weakness.
Thanks, for telling people the truth Devon. I will be the second person to lay it out there.
Commit to change! Stop eating crap, move thru the day, exercise daily, find a FT teacher! You can do better…you must do better…this is your body,your health, and your life!
The chances of me having a really good day have increased with that Saints victory!!!!!
Now, onto fitness business. My Foundation Training is slowly getting out there…I have several clients starting that regimen and they all love it and definitely can feel “things happening. If they”ll practice everyday like I instruct them….things will happen, they will feel better, they will be aware of how they sit, stand, walk, bend over….they”ll change their bad movement patterns, because now they know what those bad movement patterns were. GOOD STUFF!
Also, I’m gearing up for 2014. I had an odd 2013… Lots of changes in my life…somewhat adjusted as of now. For personal trainers, we love the month of Jan. Lots of new people show up to the gym, lots of people start an exercise program, lots of people just want to start over. I love motivating people to change their bad habits!!! It’s just what I do!
My plans for 2014 will be to get better at this blog, reach as many people as possible talking and teaching health/fitness. I’ll also be sending out a weekly newsletter to your e mail box. If you’d like a newsletter I need your e mail address. I want to get more educated on posture, muscle imbalance, and movement…so I’ll be looking for training in that. I really believe it’s the key to a better body! Also, plan on doing another FOUNDATION TRAINING course. I love FT and all the people involved with it…what a great program! To add to all this- I have a full time job at the dentist office and I need to practice my golf game! How am I gonna do all this?
What in you plans for 2014?
Can you believe 2013 is almost gone? For myself it has been a very busy year with a good amount of change involved. Some of the change is not yet complete. Hopefully, things play out in 2014. I’m looking forward to some good things happening and of course helping motivate people to get healthy. I’m also loving all the posture/movement things I’m learning. This information is really going to help a lot of people. So, for me bring on 2014!
Lets talk a little about planning for 2014. What are your fitness plans for 2014? Who’s going to join a gym? Hire a trainer? If your having trouble picking out a Christmas gift…get someone a gym membership, or some training sessions with a trainer. I have yet to understand why more people don’t do this. Give people what they need…we are talking about helping people change their lifestyle.
The gift of health is so much more valuable than new clothes, electronic accessories, jewelry, and the like.
Nothing annoys me more than for people to tell me they can’t afford a gym membership or some training sessions. Yet, people will buys Starbucks every morning, or eat out for lunch everyday, have cocktails one or two times a week. All this adds up quick! There’s your membership dues right there, or your trainers fee. A good trainer can help you if you only meet once per week….
It’s all about YOU wanting to change your ways.
Start evaluating what has happened in 2013. Have you gained weight? Have your gained more weight again? Do your clothes fit? Why would you buy new clothes if your just getting bigger? Look in the mirror….do you like what you see? Are you going to just keep making excuses? I don’t have time…the kids keep me to busy…I’m to tired after work…I can’t afford it…it cost to much.
A 4.00 Starbucks x 5 days a week = 20.00 a week. That’s 80.00 a month! Come on people… Lets do another one.
A 2.00 McDonalds breakfast x5 days a week = 40.00 a month…there’s practically a membership there and that’s why you’ve gained weight on top of things.
Do you want to change? That’s really everyone’s own personal decision. If you do…then change. It takes commitment, getting rid of bad habits, yep…you’ll probably have to spend some money for help. Most people spend a lot of money for their bad habits…why not turn it around for better habits?

3/11/13… I’m home for lunch looking and facebook and my blog. Just wondering who read this mornings blog and thought to themselves….that is me. Still saying I’m want to lose weight, look better, get in shape….but never make that decision to do something about it. The decision is the first step that must be taken. Who out there is thinking about it? Who out there needs a little push? Who out there is miserable with themselves? Go back and look in that mirror again… Let me know when your ready. Let your local gym, or trainer know. Let some of these other health and fitness bloggers know. We want you to succeed!
