WHAT. IS YOUR “HEALTHY”?

Mon 4/21/14:
Welcome to Monday… The day after the glorious sunny weekend we just had. I do believe spring is finally here! Sure has been slow arriving this year!
Anyway, back to Monday and all the things that are required of us.
Of course, after I write this article off to the gym I’ll go for a little Foundation Training and a quick Bodyweight workout. Taking care of the ole body is the most important thing I do each day. Then off to Mid Town Dental for another day in the trenches. Taking care of your oral health is important also. There is so much bacteria in the mouth and those 6 month check ups prevent a lot of money being spent later to fix things. If you need a good dentist in the Jackson, Ms area give me a call at 601-355-5275.
Finally, getting to play in a golf tournament in Laurel this coming Saturday.
I missed pretty much all of last season due to several circumstances….so, I am looking forward to being competitive again. Relaxation, is just another element in being healthy. I just have to get away sometimes and just have fun. I love playing golf, competing, and hanging with my friends….
It de-stresses me…even tho if you watch me play golf I’m not very relaxed!!! LOL!!!
Then, of course…my other element of good health is sleep. I love to get my 7-8 hours of sleep. Luckily, for me I lived a while back burning the candle at both ends. So, there is nothing out there after 8 pm I need or want to do. I still wonder sometimes how I made it way back when? Guess it really doesn’t matter…long as I can do better now.
Let’s get up…have that cup of Java, do a Founder and a quick workout, get to those offices and be thankful for where we are. Have a great day…

A MAGICAL MASTERS

Sun April 13,2014
Whoop whoop Whoop….I believe today we will see some “MAGIC” at the Masters today. There are probable 15 people with real possibilities of winning. Once they arrive at number 10…hold on for the ride!! We will see spectacular shots, shots that we a foot from being a spectacular shot. We will see fragile shaky nerves as well as nerves of steel. We might see a 20 year old win…or a 50 year old. All I know is with the people in contention…we are going to see some shot making!!! The golfers still in it with only 3 or 4 holes left are going to show us something special…they will be in a position to conjure up “MAGIC”. For those of you who play golf and who love golf…you know what I’m talking about. Even those of you who just love sports and a good battle…you know what I’m taking about. I, like a great Super Bowl, World Series, Wimbledon, Olympics …and any other completion where the best bring their best. Trust me, The Masters has every element as in it as other sports…probably more.
Bring it on! Men’s golf is on the rise and rising….especially if Speith or Fowler put that green jacket on. Can’t wait to see what happens…..
Also, a big shout out to Jonathan Randolph, right here from Brandon, Ms. Jonathan, is in Mexico tied for 5th (1 stroke out) in a web.com event. He is also 15th on the money list on the Web tour. The top 25 at the end of the year get a PGA card…if I’m not mistaken? Let’s go Jonathan….make your own “magic” today!

My Foundation Training Anniversary!

Wed.4/2/14:
Good morning everyone. believe it or not I actually have a little extra time this morning. How that happened…I don’t really know?
Life has been busy for me lately. The dentist office is busy and then factor in my personal training and Foundation Training clients….it’s all good though!
I’m working with several new over 65 women with Foundation Training. They are loving it and can’t believe how much better they feel. I have one or two really working on improving their balance also.
I have another client who has had a fusion already several years on her lower back. She was so cautious when I first started with her. We have been working a month or so now. After we finished the session she said, I just want to tell you I have not had one back spasm since we started Foundation Training! That was music to my ears!!! She said, I have worked so hard at being careful and not doing to much to protect my back….when I should have been moving all along and keep these muscles stretched and strong.
Foundation Training helped that particular lady, FT has helped everyone I have worked with, and FT helped me. I do a little FT everyday and my back is virtually pain free now. I started Foundation Training April 2013. As I write this article I’m just realizing it’s been one year!!! Whoop whoop!!! I knew the first time I did some of these FT exercises…I had found something special.
I have always had visions of back surgery at some point in my life….that’s how bad I have hurt for so long. I do not have that nightmare in my head anymore. No surgery, no pain meds…..just better movement patterns!
Need help, need guidance, need a few lessons…just contact me.
Foundation Training works and movement matters!
Have a great hump day!
